Added value – Örträskleden
Örträsk Interest and Heritage Association develops Örträskleden by combining nature, art, and local history. Through artworks, stories, and improved information along the trail, it will become a more attractive and vibrant destination for both residents and visitors.
Purpose and goals
The purpose of the project is:
to develop and strengthen Örträskleden as an attractive meeting place and destination by making the area's natural and cultural values accessible and creating new experiences for both residents and visitors.
The goal of the project is:
to establish an art path as well as a history and storytelling path along Örträskleden.
About the project
Örträskleden was inaugurated in 2023 and runs through a landscape characterized by both natural and cultural history. Now Örträsk Interest and Local Heritage Association wants to further develop the path and create more reasons to explore the area.
Along the path, artworks will be placed and the local history will be highlighted through stories and historical sites. In this way, visitors will have the opportunity to experience both nature and stories from the village during their hike.
The project also includes improved information and signage to make the path easier to find and follow.
By uniting nature, culture, art, and local history, the association aims to create greater added value around Örträskleden and strengthen it as a destination for both locals and visitors from outside.
From the Project Application
”By creating an art, history, and storytelling path, the hike becomes more than just a walk. It provides more reasons to visit Örträskleden and more reasons to share their experiences further.”
