Our board

Our board – 24 engaged members who together represent actors from both the non-profit, private, and public sectors.

Our board members play a crucial role when it comes to deciding which development initiatives should be implemented in the area. In addition, the LAG board is responsible for organizing and driving rural development according to Leader Lappland's strategy.

The LAG board also has the responsibility to convey knowledge about the leader method and simultaneously functions as a network to promote understanding and anchoring of the method. Furthermore, all members have a strong commitment to actively promote the development of the countryside.

Our main goal is to assemble a LAG board that is not only representative but also well-prepared and well-educated. This is of utmost importance for us to be able to work effectively and purposefully with the current issues and challenges.

As a newly appointed board member, you will undergo extensive training covering the leader method, the local development strategy, and the guidelines that govern our operations. Together, we look forward to jointly shaping the countryside and making it even more vibrant and sustainable!
