Active move Lycksele
The project supports the development of a digital coordination platform that makes local activities in sports, leisure, and culture in Lycksele visible, with the goal of increasing engagement among children, youth, and 65+. The platform promotes community life, health, and social interaction for a sustainable rural municipality.
Purpose and goals
The purpose of the project is to:
create an attractive living environment by enabling associations and facilities in areas such as sports, leisure, and culture to showcase their activities. This is done through an innovative and modern coordination platform.
The goal of the project is to:
configure the Active Move app to fit Lycksele municipality. The goal is also to carry out marketing efforts to spread information about the app to the associations in Lycksele municipality.
About the project
The project will develop a digital coordination platform in the form of an app that makes local activities in sports, leisure, and culture in Lycksele visible and accessible. The goal is to promote a healthy lifestyle and social interaction for target groups including children, youth, and 65+, through a solution where activities can easily be booked and matched by age and interest. The platform should make it easier for users to explore and engage in various association activities.
Through the app, associations have the opportunity to coordinate their offerings and recruit new members, while individuals are given a chance to engage in community life – an important factor for both physical and mental health in rural municipalities. Expected results include increased association activity, better public health, and long-term community savings. The project aims to develop a model that can be implemented in other rural municipalities to create a modern, inclusive countryside with a more equitable and healthy range of activities.
From the Project Application
”The benefit and success factor come from belonging and participation in the community, which creates engagement and motivation and becomes the engine in the community/municipality.”
