About the microproject

Arvidsjaur's Fishing Conservation Association wants to restore a bridge over Långträskälven that has been partially washed away for many years, making it difficult to cross between both sides of the river. In the project, the bridge will be restored and several well-used windbreaks in the area will be renovated.

Through the initiative, the area becomes more accessible for the association's members, the local population, and others who want to enjoy nature, for example, for hiking, berry picking, or fishing. The association also wants to use the project to create engagement and community around the area and hopes particularly to involve more younger members in the association's continued development.

The committee decides to grant the microproject as the initiative contributes to improving access to a natural area in Arvidsjaur through the restoration of a bridge and renovation of existing windbreaks. The project creates a concrete and visible improvement of the site and enables increased outdoor activities for both the association's members and the public. The initiative is assessed to contribute to increased well-being, community, and activity in the village and stimulate engagement, especially among younger members. The project is thus in line with the purpose of the microproject For Green Community.
