The goal of the project is to replace 9-10 fireplaces and renovate the wind shelters that are in poor condition. The project will also conduct a fishing-related outing for youth in the area.
About the project
The project aims to renovate or replace fire pits and wind shelters within the fishery management area to strengthen the area's attractiveness as a tourist destination and recreation area for local residents. The existing facilities, built in the 90s by the Forest Management Board and volunteers, partially funded by the Arjeplog group, have deteriorated despite an increase in visitor numbers. Since the area is a popular sport fishing destination for both domestic and foreign tourists, it is necessary to improve the infrastructure to maintain its attractiveness.
The project includes renovation and replacement of rest areas that are frequently used by sport fishermen, passing tourists, and for various activities such as snowmobile outings and kayaking. The goal is to increase the area's attractiveness and strengthen the local and international destination, in line with the municipality's program for water and fishing development as well as nature and outdoor activities.
