PUA – Professionalization of Young Artists

Youth in the Inland face a challenge when it comes to pursuing a career as an artist since education and the rich cultural offerings are concentrated in the coastal region. Local funding for events is reinforced by regional actors who usually collaborate with the Cultural Council. This means that money that could help local talents gets stuck in a support system that primarily prioritizes professional artists, who rarely have the Inland as their base.

Unfortunately, there are no stages for local talents, and those that exist rely on amateurs, charming elements, and informal performances. Therefore, the region needs a support organization for youth who want to offer a more professional service.
