Grytsjö Fäbod
Grytsjö fäbod is an unusually complete fäbod from the 1870s and is one of the county's most valuable fäbod environments. Here there is a fäbod cabin, a barn, a milk shed, a storage shed, and a kåta preserved. The buildings are, however, in great need of a cultural-historical renovation.
About the project
In the project, the aim is to carry out a proper renovation of the fäbod, where the purpose is to manage and preserve a unique cultural environment. This is hoped to contribute to enabling future business activities within the tourism industry. The renovation will be done together with the county administrative board's cultural environment unit, and heritage involvement is also included in the project. In connection with the renovation, information signs will be produced and set up, and brochures and folders will be developed.
In the project, there will be collaboration with the Grytsjö local association and actors within the tourism industry in the area. There will also be a search for cooperation with other cultural environments in the area.
From the Project Application
”The fäbod environment is one of the most complete and most valuable fäbod environments in the county, and has great potential to develop as a destination for the public.”
