Attractive meeting places

Together we strive to create attractive outdoor environments that serve as meeting places for people of all ages. These places will enhance the village's attractiveness and contribute to social sustainability. Furthermore, they will serve as starting points for our local businesses, giving them the opportunity to offer customer experiences and events. We envision these meeting places developing in natural areas that are important to us, such as the school area in the village center, the nearby forest, and by the Vindel River. We value nature and the environment immensely. Our goal is to create a community that is both socially and environmentally sustainable, where we all become aware and engaged.

Through this project, we will create a challenging, pleasant, and inviting environment for lifelong learning for all. The preschool activities in the village are already based on outdoor life, outdoor education, and experience-based learning. These common places will provide excellent opportunities for adults, but especially for children and young people, to feel a sense of belonging and community. Just like so many others, we want to offer opportunities for relaxation in an otherwise hectic everyday life, a place for outdoor activities, movement, reflection, and lots of community and learning.

”We see the need for meeting places as significant; there is a desire for more natural meeting places for all ages in nearby villages and municipalities. When we have ”scanned the environment,” meeting places mean different things for different locations. It can be a need for a ”skate park” or space for crafts or just a place where people can gather and have coffee and organize various social meetings. For us locally, it means a place in nature that inspires learning, outdoor activities, and recreation for all ages.”
