Accessibility adaptation beach promenade

By adapting the walking path along the banks of the Vindel River in Rusksele, approximately 400 meters long, we create accessibility for all. We also plan to build a deck community area at the bathing place with a ramp for easy access. Barbecue areas and benches will also be placed along the route.

The path connects the central village with the bathing area and fishing campsite. A large part will be hard-packed gravel, with about 90 meters of boardwalk over wetland.

This existing walkway is already in use today, but it is limited for the elderly and people with disabilities. We want to make the bathing area accessible for everyone and create a meeting place in the summer. In winter, the area serves as a transition and public area for the Vindel River Drag. It will also be a fantastic recreational area for exercise and leisure, providing opportunities for nature experiences for those who do not have access to snowmobiles or skis in the spring.
