Development plan for hiking trail around Örträsksjön

The project ”Hiking trail around Örträsksjön” aims to make the area around the lake more accessible by establishing a hiking trail that stretches around the entire lake – a distance of 25 kilometers. The purpose of the project is to give both residents and visitors the opportunity to experience the fantastic nature that the area has to offer. The project is an extension of the Öreälvsleden, which already stretches through the municipalities of Nordmaling, Bjurholm, and Lycksele. Therefore, the project is expected to benefit several municipalities.

The goal of the project is to conduct a preliminary study, apply for investment funds, and establish the hiking trail. In the long term, it is hoped that the trail will contribute to creating an attractive residential region that also benefits entrepreneurs in the area, while attracting more visitors to the area. The project is also expected to open up opportunities for various sports events such as running competitions, sled dog races, and ski competitions that can be organized in connection with the trail. Additionally, it is believed that other activities such as yoga, fishing, swimming, and music events by the lake will benefit from the project.

By establishing the hiking trail around Örträsksjön, the area will become more accessible for both the local population and visitors, while creating opportunities for a variety of activities and events in connection with the trail.
