PUA – Professional Young Artists

It is a challenge for young people in the Inland to pursue a career as an artist, as education and the rich cultural offer are concentrated in the coastal region. Regional actors often collaborate with the Arts Council to increase funding for local events. Unfortunately, money that could help young local talents is stuck in a support system that gives priority to professional artists who are rarely based in the Inland. As a result, there are few stages for local artists, and those that do exist rely on amateurs, charming acts and informal performances. One solution would be to create a support organization for young people who want to pursue a professional career.

To achieve this goal, the project should professionalize young artists between the ages of 16 and 25, which would allow more stage performances for local talent. In addition, organizers should be encouraged to choose local artists instead of always importing artists from outside. The young people will learn what it means to be a professional artist in the project, including how to book performances, set up the stage and of course perform!
