Rural Flow Åsele
The Rural Flow Åsele project aims to improve communication between the municipality's administrations, businesses, associations, and residents in rural areas. Through the project, they also want to facilitate the marketing of the municipality and create conditions for using digital technology in rural areas.
About the project
The Rural Flow Åsele project has two main purposes: to develop the Åsele Byaportal with modern technology to create a more accessible everyday life for the local population and to install technology for digital local TV broadcasting from Åsele. The project also hopes to establish an editorial team that will work with the channel and produce material for both TV broadcasting and web TV.
The pre-study will establish a steering group, interview key individuals, and investigate residents' TV habits and the wishes of web administrators. Design sketches will be developed, and regulations and legal requirements will be examined. The project hopes to create opportunities for rural development and attract more people to the countryside.
From the Project Application
”There is a great need in a vulnerable rural municipality to create conditions to reverse the trend of shrinking population and negative outlook for the future, towards development and growth.”
