PUA 2
Purpose and goals
The purpose of the project is to:
help young artists to develop their talents in an area where there is a lack of educational opportunities. The artists should be able to stand on their own feet and feel ready for the artist life, as well as be part of a network consisting of young musicians, organizers, and leaders.
The goal of the project is to:
carry out workshops, concerts, and tours together with young people as well as create a lasting network of both young and adult professional cultural practitioners.
About the project
Young people deserve real opportunities to develop their talents and join a network of young musicians, organizers, and leaders. The project builds on the project PUA 1 by offering camp activities to find and develop new talents as well as by focusing on business development and activities that were not previously included.
The goal is to make the artists independent and equipped for the reality of being artists, especially considering that many are young, under 18 years old. A well-functioning network of local artists, organizers, and events is fundamental to developing the local cultural life within the geography of Leader Lappland and creating an attractive place to live.
The project will contribute to increased mental health, community, and a new network of cultural actors after the pandemic. The mentorship, with well-known personalities, gives participants and the audience an opportunity to experience high-quality culture and spread information about the project. The goal is to build on the potential identified in PUA 1 and take it to the next level!
”We want to give young people a sense that it is positive and good to live in the Leader area and that the area is attractive and has development opportunities. This leads to increased well-being.”
