Skatepark Storhälla

The feasibility study attracted more municipalities within the leader area to participate. Storumans IK joined due to the football section's ambition to build an artificial grass pitch. The Storhälla area is an underutilized sports facility with potential, which led to more requests for activities and sports near the artificial grass pitch. The result was an artificial grass pitch at Storhälla, funded by the Public Inheritance Fund, and we have also created a dog park, barbecue areas, and an obstacle course within the area with the help of other project funds.

The goal is to create a vibrant outdoor life with many activity opportunities and an attractive community that encourages existing residents to stay, former residents to return, and new people to move here by offering a variety of recreational activities.

The skate park will be built in collaboration with the Skate Federation and involve expertise from companies and organizations in the area. We will engage local businesses to carry out as much work as possible and collaborate closely with the local business community. In addition, we have established contact with a local skateboarder who will be involved in the construction, practice, safety, and opportunities for the skate park.
